The purpose of this survey was to better understand associations with attraction to pregnant women in men and women. Associations of interest included, but not limited to: arousal to the idea of being a pregnant woman, a longing to be a pregnant woman, arousal to the idea of being a man ejaculating inside a woman, a longing to ejaculate inside of a woman for the purpose of making her pregnant, and arousal to the bodily transformations associated with pregnancy.
With the arousal items, a scale of 0-4 was used, with 0 being not arousing and 4 being very arousing. A response of 2 or more was considered as being an affirmative response as to whether the item was sufficiently arousing for the purpose of the above graphs. Items related to longing were scaled 0-4, with 0 indicating that they never longed for what was described, while 4 meant they longed for it often. A score of 2 or more was considered a sufficient longing for the purpose of the above graphs.
Male attraction to pregnant women was more associated with wanting to have sex with a pregnant woman than being a pregnant woman, while female attraction to pregnant women was more evenly associated with having sex with a pregnant woman and being a pregnant woman. Surprisingly, a similar percentage of female respondents were both aroused by the idea of being a pregnant woman and being a man ejaculating into a woman.
The item "longing to be a pregnant woman" was used as a proxy to measure gender dysphoria in males with an attraction to pregnant women. The term "erotic target location error" is sometimes used to describe people who want to be the thing they are attracted to. When it comes to a paraphilic attraction to something, it is at least sometimes the case that such an arousal is also associated wanting to be that thing, and the results of this survey support that phenomenon.
Multiple regression was used to determine which items affected the variance in longing to be a pregnant woman. For males, 44% of the variance in longing to be a pregnant woman was associated with being sexually aroused by the idea of being a pregnant woman, while all the other items appeared to have no significant effect on the variance. For females, 64% of the variance was associated with being sexually aroused by the idea of being a pregnant woman. Also significant for females was arousal to the bodily changes associated with being pregnant, but adding this item to the model did not improve the percentage of variance that could be attributed to the model significantly.
What I hope this blog post can illuminate is the relationship between attraction to pregnant women, wanting to be a pregnant woman, and longing to be a pregnant woman. This same model can likely be applied across various paraphilic interests. I hope to improve this model in the future.
If I conduct a future study of the breeding kink, I will add arousal to the idea of being impregnated, and a question that clearly states longing to be male.
